With the ever-present threat of climate change and our impact on the environment, it has never been more important to give more consideration to the brands that we support and the message that it sends out, both to our governments and big business. Do we want to be inadvertently supporting exploitative practices and unsustainable production, or do we want to advocate for change and try to do better in any way that we can?
It’s a question that I’ve been thinking about more and more over the past couple of years, both in terms of my actions as an individual, and now as a business owner. I put a lot more thought now into what I’m buying and from who, and how as a business I can both promote these amazing businesses and also adopt similar strategies within the studio. I started a blog series a couple of months ago, aiming to highlight some of my favourite brands that I’ve discovered, across the fashion, beauty and home industries, and was blown away by the lovely conversations that those first 2 posts sparked.
Now, with the annual panic of buying Christmas presents shortly upon us, I thought I’d compile a list of my favourite beauty brands who are championing sustainability and natural, organically produced ingredients. Each one has lovingly created a beautiful range of products that are not only great for your skin, but also great for the planet – perfect for guilt-free pampering! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

New York based Wild Magic, was born from founder Stephanie’s upbringing surrounded by the timeless wisdom of Chinese medicine, and a house full of exotic herbs including ginger, ginseng, lotus, astragalus, burdock, goji berry, angelica root, and more. With each ingredient having been used for thousands of years in the pursuit of wellness, she wanted to create a skincare range that takes you on a journey through time, and passes down these ancient ingredients and skincare rituals. Aside from loving the story and origins behind Wild Magic, I also love that each of their products is produced in a lab that operates on 100% renewable wind energy, and is then filled, labeled, and packaged by with love by Stephanie herself.
